refugee crisis.

LITA.co and The Laudato Si’ Challenge  inspired by the Pope Francis wants  to build a more “inclusive and humane economy.” and invite the world to this new platform — where everyone will be able to participate and support the top 10 companies that minimize human suffering resulting from forced migration.

The 2018 Laudato Si’ Challenge will call on entrepreneurs—of all faiths and from all continents—to sustainable improve the lives of 10 million refugees through businesses that are: innovative, sustainable and ethical.

Each of the top 10 businesses will demonstrate their innovations in Rome in December, 2018.

The UNHCR Global Trends report finds 65.3 million people, or one person in 113, were displaced from their homes by conflict, persecution, environmental degradation and lack of economic opportunity in 2015. This is the highest number of displaced people in recorded history.

Despite the scope and urgency of this humanitarian crisis, we have successfully resettled a small number of those in need.

You can be part of the solution by joining forces with LITA.co and The Laudato Si’ Challenge.

Be part of the community of early birds and you will have the opportunity to help select one of the top 10 companies!

Eric Harr | Co-Founder & CEO, The Laudato Si’ Challenge

"I could not be more delighted about our partnership with LITA.co. They are a shining example of what His Holiness Pope Francis calls “a social economy,” one that works for everyone, everywhere. It’s going to make The Laudato Si’ Challenge more inclusive — which is a beautiful thing."

Eva Sadoun | Co-Founder & CEO, LITA.co

"Our vision is transform finance and to make it more inclusive, sustainable and transparent by offering impact investments accessible to all people. LITA.co makes it possible for you to solve humanity’s biggest social and ecological challenges with your money."

By rejecting "throwaway" culture and a "mentality of indifference,” Pope Francis said entrepreneurs have the potential to effect substantial changes, such as "creating new jobs, respecting labor laws, fighting against public and private corruption, and promoting social justice."
